As usual we went to LCCT by bus from KL Sentral (RM9/person). Our flight to Bali is at 10.15 am. We Arrived at Ngurah Rai airport 3 hours later. Then, we took an airport taxi to Legian (Rp50k) and check-in to our budget hotel located in Jl. Melasti, Legian (on-line booking at USD15/day/room). The room quite comfy, clean, has bathtub and a/c and the hotel has small swimming pool. On the evening, we rent a motor-bike (Rp65k/day inc. insurance) to explore area around Kuta. Our hotel is actually very near to the beach and town (using short-cut). For the next few days, we just used our pretty feet to the beach, find foods and shopping. We couldn’t find halal restaurant on the 1st day, so we ate KFC. In Indonesia, regardless in which area (even 70% of Balinese are Hindu), KFC, McDonald, Pizza Hut served Halal foods (that’s what Indonesian Muslim said). After enjoying the different from Malaysia KFC menu, we walk around and window shop at imported surfing brand store (e.g. Quicksilver, Billabong, Roxy, Ripcurl). For those who love these brands, it’s worth to spend on them here because the price is cheaper by more than 30% than in Malaysia.
Day2, July 3, 2008
We booked on-line for today’s activities (mount cycling and water rafting inc. hotel transfer) for USD58/person (RM197). The starting point for cycling is quite far from Kuta Beach (almost 2-hour journey), going deeper into smaller village. On the way, stop a while, taking photos of volcanic Mt. Batur and its lake and also stop at Local coffee shop trying their coffee (not liking it). We were cycling passing Balinese village with very unique houses. Then, we heading towards
Telaga Waja River located approximately 8 kms from Klungkung regency and about 51kms from Denpasar for White Water Rafting. For the rafting, i give 2 out of 5 stars. Not as what i expected. Padas River water rafting in Malaysia is far more adventure and exciting. After rafting, they served buffet lunch which i in doubt to eat. With empty stomach, we continue our journey back to McDonald nearby our hotel. After filling up, after energy rise from 5% to 85%, walk along Kuta beach watching the exotic marvelous sunset.

Day3
Rent a car with a driver on-line for Rp236.900 (RM85) for a day. We went to Sanur beach for snorkeling (Rp100.000/person) and parasailing (Rp60.000/person). Then heading to Nusa Dua visiting monkey forest (Rp15.000/entry). Later, went to Tanah Lot (Entry fee is Rp7.500 for local) and spend a few hours here waiting the sunset again (the must do thing in Bali other than taking photos). Going back to hotel and ask the friendly driver to drop us at halal nasi padang restaurant (sick of the fast food already). Yummy, delicious, very cheap and located at Jalan Legian…that’s describe the restaurant. Walk a few hundreds meters to the Bali bombing monument and the bombing location..sympathy, people praying, taking photos and Scary!!! (describe the place).
Wake up early and walk to the beach. Rent surf board and spend most of the time at Kuta beach and spend less at shopping (bought 2 local paintings, fridge magnet and massage oil only). Check-out late at 6.00 pm. By, taxi (Rp50.000/taxi), went to the airport (airport tax is Rp150.000) and flew back to Kuala Lumpur at 8.10 pm and arrive 3 hours later.
