Day 1:

Our trip mission is SHOPPING, therefore, most of us bring only a few clothes and a lot of extra empty bags. We Arrive at Bandung airport at 12.30 pm (Indonesia time) after 2 hours fly from Kuala Lumpur by AirAsia flight number QZ7592. Meet our ‘supir’ (driver), and then he took us for lunch at a fancy restaurant specialty in nasi padang called “Restoran Simpang Raya”. Total cost for 6 of us only Rp221k = RM77. After lunch, we decided to right away start our mission (shopping). After shopping total about RM547 (3 store), went to the hotel(Rumah Ebo Guest House), located at Jl. Imam Bonjol. The room is very spacious and can accommodate 6 of us. The price is approximately RM180/night for 6 person (average RM30/person/night) inclusive breakfast.

Day 2:

After breakfast at the guest house(Nasi Lemak and tea/coffee), we went to Tangkuban Perahu, it’s an active volcano located 30km north of the city of Bandung. To go there, you have to pay Rp35k for entrance fee. Up there, you have to be patient due to the ‘never give up’ sellers. They will follow you all the time. If you want to buy something, please buy them at the stall and try bargain as much as you can.

After a few hours there, the driver took us to Donatello shoes, Mode Plus and Rumah Mode (this is one of the biggest factory oulet in Bandung), shop a lot here (e.g guess jeans, mark & Spencer pants, Calvin Klein bathmat, Hugo jeans, leather belt, Ed Hardy t-shirt, 4 leather shoes and etc2 and all of them are amazingly super cheap). Stop for coffee-break and sugar-cheese cake at Java Bean. The taste can be comparable with Coffee bean/star bucks in Malaysia and the price is slightly cheaper. End my 2nd day shopping with total amount RM763, felt very tired, dinner at Sundanese Restaurant and went back to the guest house, sleep tiredly.

Day 3:

On the 3rd day, after breakfast, the first place we went is Ria Jeans Tailor. In Bandung or other places in Indonesia, we can purchased tailored made pants that can be done in a day and it’s cheap (RM40-RM50/pair) but don’t really like the material for jeans/corduroy. After that, went to the famous Bandung Market called “Pasar Baru”. Here, we can find all sort of traditional stuff from souviner, kebaya, curtains, kain solat, beautiful lace for wedding/engagement, batik, shawl and etc2…Have lunch at the foodcourt inside Pasar Baru (the food is only slightly cheaper than the fancy restaurant). Then, went to the average Spa and spend more than 4 hours there. Dinner: takeaway McD..End my 3rd day shopping with near to RM440 (10 pcs sulam2 kebaya/modern kebaya and 3 x telekong)

Day 4:

Flight to Kuala Lumpur is at 1.05 pm. Managed to last minute shopping at a bag store nearby Ria Jeans. Buy 1 handbag + 2 dinner purse + 1 wallet in 30 minutes (total about RM226)…went to the airport..check-in and…total Overlimit for 6 of us is 23kg (RM15/kg). Flew and touch down LCCT at about 4.00 pm. Went to Ein’s Parents new house. went home at night with Beb. Met my dear hubby bubbly…miss him so much..now I’m totally broke & in debt (even tho half of what i shopped is for someone else), have to cook and no unnecessary shopping for at least 3 months. :)p

Hi. Is the driver you got good? How much did he charge a day? DO you mind giving me his contact details? I will be visiting Bandung soon, together with 5 other family members.
