EUROTRIP 2013 | Independent travel to some cities in Europe plus Morocco in 19 days
Date: 7 - 25 November 2012
Coverage: Paris-Marrakesh-Seville-Cordoba-Granada-Malaga-Geneva-Interlaken-Basel-Amsterdam-Istanbul-Rome
This gonna be the longest post ever and I would probably finished it next year..:) my initial plan is to travel in October but we postponed it just because of Saudi Airlines promotion in November. I think after this there will be no more travel to Europe or other northern part of the world after October until March. I don't really like cold weather eventho' I did not had much problem dealing with it.
Day 1 (KUALA LUMPUR-PARIS):
Flying day from 3.00 pm (Malaysia time) and arrived in Paris the next morning at 6.10 am (Paris time), with a layover of 6 hours 25 minutes at Jeddah airport. We also had been given a meal coupon at the airport for a layover more than 4 hours and also free wifi here.
Day 2 (PARIS):
Arrived at CDG Airport, It took 3 changing subway lines and 1 hour journey to get to our hotel located very near to Voltaire subway station. The price for this call budget hotel with shared bathroom (outside) was Euro57.4, no lift so if you want to stay here be prepared. For us as long as it's cheap, good review and near to the subway station other things not a priority. I also noticed that subway station in Paris are not very handicapped accessible or maybe for tourist with heavy luggage. With non functioning elevator and no escalator in many stations and also hard to find a toilet. Paris is nice but don't compare it with South Korea or Japan or maybe China. In Seoul for example, toilet can be found in all station and in Japan they even provide a make-up room inside and also small cute toilets for kids. Elevators is always functioning (important if you bring a wheeled luggage). Nevertheless, Paris has its own charm, that suit the title "city of love". I felt so in love there despite the very serious Parisian, seriously I'm not kidding..hahaha..and also I get a lot of Islamic greeting (Assalamualaikum) in France.
